“My horse and I have worked hard this year learning the requirements for 3rd level especially with the flying lead changes. This award means a great deal to me. ” – Colleen Beres
Robinson LLP, Personal Injury and Medical Malpractice Lawyers, are pleased to announce Colleen Beres as the winner of the third annual Award of Excellence in Dressage.
Colleen has been riding since she was 3, her love all things equine having been inherited or acquired by osmosis from having been raised by Appaloosa horse breeders. She advises how she first became interested in the sport of dressage:
“I was a member of Team Appaloosa at the Battle of the Breeds during the Spruce Meadows Masters for the first 15 years of the competition. During my time at Spruce Meadows, I developed a love for “warmbloods”. One year, Anky Van Grunsven came with her Olympic dressage mount Gestion Bonfire. We were warming up in the same ring and I was in awe of her and Bonfire. At that moment, I knew I wanted to try dressage. I sold my Appaloosa gelding and purchased a warmblood mare named Sonata.”
On behalf of Robinson LLP, Personal Injury and Medical Malpractice Lawyers, congratulations to Colleen on her deserving and hard-earned win. We wish Colleen (and Apollo) much success in all their future endeavours.
