The Robinson LLP Award of Excellence in Dressage Winners
The annual Robinson LLP Award of Excellence in Dressage is awarded at the culmination of The Sparkle and Spurs show in Edmonton. The award is offered to the junior or amateur rider with the highest average of three scores from three separate shows, the last being Sparkle and Spurs.
The yearly winner receives their name on a trophy displayed in the Robinson LLP Building, a crystal trophy to take home, and $1,000.

2022: Caroline Locke
Caroline Locke received the award in 2022, along with her horse, Debonair ST.
2021: Quinn Assinger
Quinn Assinger received the award in 2021, along with her horse, Hemi. Quinn said the award made her whole year and she is hoping to use the money towards the AJYR AYDDP symposium.
2018: Kathryn Robinson
2018’s winner was Kathryn Robinson, a junior rider from Edmonton, Alberta. Kathryn and her horse Forget-Me-Not finished a phenomenal 2018 show season with this award. Her season highlights included being named Third Level champion of both Alberta and BC along with Third Level championship and freestyle awards in Edmonton, Calgary, Vernon, and Vancouver.
2017: Fiona Carlstrom
Robinson LLP was pleased to announce Fiona Carlstrom as the winner of the fourth annual Award of Excellence in Dressage. Fiona was thrilled to win this award and to be recognized as an Adult Amateur and it was fabulous to see Ms. Kovaluk ringside.
2016: Colleen Beres
Colleen Beres took away the award in 2016, along her horse, Apollo.
2015: Colleen Church McDowall
The winner of the first-ever Robinson LLP Dressage Award of Excellence was Colleen Church McDowall (with her mount, Dorian Dark).
